Case Studies
We are proud to have worked with some of the world's leading behavioral scientists and hope that these short summaries give you an impression of our approach to improving behavioral research:
Active investigation in a large pharmaceutical company
One of the world's largest Pharmaceutical companies approached us with a large data set of rodent "active investigation" trials. They had previously attempted to use standard video tracking software but had ended up with poor quality results which didn't accurately identify the behavior. The Research Director was almost ready to resort to manually analyzing video which would both take significant time and introduce data discrepancies between multiple raters.
With a 90 minute sample video highlighting the behavior they were identifying we developed a solution built on our iBehaveŽ technology which accurately identified occurences of active investigation as defined for this trial, allowing consistent automated analysis.
Stereotypic behaviour for a CRO
Contract Research is a tough marketplace and finding ways to differentiate is key for leaders in the industry. We were approached by a CRO whose client required the identification of an unusual stereotypic behavior in rodents.
We provided a service built on iBehaveŽ where they could send us the video data of the task, we would then analyze the video and respond with accurate results at a fraction of the time it would take for manual analysis of the same volume of data.
Scalable social behaviour analysis
We worked with a leading US Ivy-League university to develop a custom solution to record courtship behavior in Drosophila at a large scale. The lab was using dozens of camcorders recording to hundreds of video tapes that were then stored in cupboards.
We provided them with a digital, IP based solution that enabled recording from multiple cameras to a single computer, with the video stored in standard digital video files allowing for future automated analysis.
